Two extra cast members for the upcoming February film Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna were revealed by Toei Animation on the film's official website on Wednesday.
Mayu Matsuoka (Koe no Katachi, Birthday Wonderland) will be playing Menoa Bellucci, a university scientist in New York who studies Digimon. Daisuke Ono (Durarara!!, Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 3: Stardust Crusaders) will be playing Menoa's assistant, Kyotaro Imura. The two characters will appear around Taichi, Agumon, and the other DigiDestined following a certain event in the story. As per the official website, they will help the DigiDestined discover the secret of their relationship to Digimon.
Synopsis
The Digital World and the human world have faced crisis after crisis. During the everyday life between dealing with those crises, clues to the way humans and Digimon could coexist had begun to appear. Taichi and friends are now college students, and they gather together as once again, strange events occur all around the world. The film is being directed by Tomohisa Taguchi (Persona 4 the Golden Animation, Sousei no Onmyouji) and produced by Toei Animation with animation help from Yumeta Company. The movie will premiere in Japan on February 21, 2020 as part of the franchise's 20th anniversary celebration.
