
An official website for a TV anime adaptation of Xuanyuan Sword role-playing game franchise opened last Friday. Titled Ken En Ken: Aoki Kagayaki, the series will broadcast on TV and stream online this fall. The anime is a collaboration between TV Tokyo, Softstar, and NADA Holdings.

Created by Taiwan based company Softstar, the first Xuanyuan Sword game was released for PC in 1990. The franchise has since released 12 more titles including spin-offs, with the latest in 2016. The game has also inspired novel, manhua, and live-action drama adaptations.
