Seiyuu Chiharu Kitaoka announced on her blog last week that she has recently gotten married.
Kitaoka had been dating her partner for some time, and the couple now plans to move to Hokkaido, where she was raised. In her blog, she writes that she intends to continue voice acting for any roles she was previously cast in but will not take on any new roles.
Kitaoka made her seiyuu debut in 2009 under the pseudonym Aya Gouda, voicing Q-feuille in Kiddy GiRL-AND. She also took on other roles such as Sarasvati in Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? (2011) in addition to performing insert songs for the series. Later that year, she played the lead role in the ecchi comedy series R-15.
In 2012, she left the Production Ace talent agency and began working as Chiharu Kitaoka. Her most recent role was as Threia Hazelgrimm in the Spring 2014 anime Escha & Logy no Atelier: Tasogare no Sora no Renkinjutsushi.
