
Aniplex announced on Tuesday that the anime movie Doukyuusei, an adaptation of the boys' love manga by Asumiko Nakamura, began its second theatrical run this past weekend. The movie has added 18 theaters to its screening catalog, bringing the total screenings to date to 60 theaters.
Doukyuusei began its theatrical run in Japan on February 20 and, as of April 3, has sold 135,730 tickets and earned 201,492,100 yen in the box office. These figures include the early screening event held on February 14. Aniplex of America will screen the movie in select theaters in the United States beginning May 6.
Doukyuusei will be released on Blu-ray and DVD (cover art pictured) on May 25. That release will also include the movie's soundtrack and a new drama CD titled "Mou Hitotsu no."
