The 15th and final episode of IDOLiSH7: Second Beat announced a third season at the end of its broadcast on Sunday. The official website and Twitter account will announce more details at a later date.
Based on Bandai Namco Online's idol rhythm game, the first season aired in Winter 2018. The second season began airing on April 5, but it was put on hiatus after episode four due to the effects of COVID-19. Episode five and onward began airing on October 18. Both seasons were produced by animation studio TROYCA.
Bandai Namco Online developed and published the smartphone game in August 2015. Lantis produces the music for the franchise, and Arina Tanemura is designing the characters The project also spawned a manga adaptation, a PlayStation Vita game in 2018, and multiple singles over the years.
