Shaman King' Announces Additional Voice Cast


The official website of the new television anime adaptation of Hiroyuki Takei's Shaman King manga revealed additional cast on Wednesday. It is scheduled to premiere in April 2021 on TV Tokyo.

Kororo: Megumi Nakajima (Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen)
Jun Tao: Michiko Neya (Koukyoushihen Eureka Seven)
Lee Pyron: Tooru Sakurai (Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu)
Tamao Tamamura: Nana Mizuki (Senki Zesshou Symphogear)
Ponchi: Takumu Miyazono (Haikyuu!!: To the Top 2nd Season)
Konchi: Noriaki Kanze (Pokemon (2019))

Yuuji Ueda, Michiko Neya, and Nana Mizuka are reprising their roles from Xebec's 64-episode television anime that aired from July 2001 to September 2002.

The lead cast and staff were announced in September, and additional cast and staff were revealed in December. Much of the main cast are also returning from the original anime series.

The new series is being directed by Jouji Furuta (Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu, Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold) at Bridge, with series composition by Shouji Yonemura (Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu, Death Note script). Toshihiko Sano (Mairimashita! Iruma-kun) is designing the characters.
