Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon adapts Cool-kyou Shinja's slice of life comedy manga, which began serialization in Monthly Action's inaugural issue in May 2013. Futabasha published the tenth volume on August 11 last year.
Kyoto Animation produced the first season in Winter 201, which aired in 13 episodes. The seventh and final home video volume included an unaired episode in September 2017. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles, while Funimation streamed an English dub. The latter also released the anime series on home video in April 2018.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in December 2015 and shipped the ninth volume last May, with the tenth volume scheduled for release on March 30. The company is also publishing the Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Kanna no Nichijou and Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Elma no OL Nikki spin-off series.
