Mashiro no Oto' TV Anime Reveals Additional Cast, April 3 Premiere


The official website for the television anime adaptation of Marimo Ragawa's Mashiro no Oto manga revealed additional cast, a 30-second commercial, a second key visual (pictured), and broadcast information on Thursday. The anime will broadcast during the Animeism programming block, premiering on TBS and MBS on April 3 at 2:25 a.m. (JST), with an additional broadcast on BS-TBS at 3:00 a.m.

The CM features the opening theme "Blizzard," one of two openings performed by BURNOUT SYNDROMES. Additional information from Friday revealed that the second is titled "Ginsekai." The ending theme, "Kono Yume ga Sameru Made feat. Yoshida Brothers," will be performed by singer-songwriter Miliyah Katou and the aforementioned shamisen musicians, who are also supervising the Tsugaru-shamisen music performed in the anime.

The Mashiro no Oto adaptation was announced last August, revealing the main staff and Nobunaga Shimazaki (Ore Monogatari!!, Fruits Basket 2nd Season) as the protagonist, Setsu Sawamura. Additional cast were announced last November.

The TV anime is being directed by Hiroaki Akagi (Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san) at Shin-Ei Animation. Kanichi Katou (Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san 2 script) is credited with series composition and Jirou Mashima (Banana Fish sub-character design) is designing the characters.
