During the Z/Xtreme 2019.Summer event in Akihabara on Sunday, more information for the previously announced anime adaptation of Takuya Fujima and Tatsuhiko Urahata's Z/X: Code Reunion manga was announced. Voice cast members were revealed, along with a promotional video and a Fall 2019 premiere.

Yoshifumi Sueda (High School DxD Hero) is directing the anime at Passione, with Tatsuhiko Urahata (Tsurezure Children) composing the script. Illustrator Selece is designing the characters based on Fujima's original draft.
