Voice Actors Tomoaki Maeno and Mikako Komatsu Announce Marriage



Voice actor Tomoaki Maeno announced his marriage to co-star voice actress Mikako Komatsu via his personal Twitter account and their respective agencies on Tuesday. Komatsu commended her respect on the way he deals with his work, compassion with their peers, respect for his characters, and his sense of humor in their field. They added that they would continue to work diligently for the enjoyment of everyone.

The couple have worked together on numerous anime projects, simultaneously performing in series such as Dr.Stone, Fairy Gone, Sukitte Ii na yo., and ClassicaLoid amongst others.

Some of Maeno's popular roles include Juuichi Fukutomi from Yowamushi Pedal, the White Blood Cell from Hataraku Saibou, Kousuke Ooshiba from Hitorijime My Hero and Hak Son from Akatsuki no Yona. His work also includes performing the theme songs for anime titles such as Blend S, Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live, and Brothers Conflict.

Komatsu was formerly part of the idol group Imouto and affiliated with Yoshimoto Creative Agency, and is now affiliated with the Hirata Office. She is known for her roles as Izumi Shimomura from Ajin, Neko from K, Saika Totsuka from Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru, and Hotaru Tachibana from Aoharu x Kikanjuu.
