
Publishing company Kadokawa announced a television anime adaptation of Zappon's Shin no Nakama ja Nai to Yuusha no Party wo Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life suru Koto ni Shimashita (Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside) light novel on Tuesday.
Synopsis
A heroic and mighty adventurer dreams of...opening a pharmacy?

Zappon launched the slice of life fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2017. Kadokawa began publishing the novel through its Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko in June 2018, featuring illustrations by Yasumo. The seventh volume shipped on July 1. The light novel has a cumulative 1 million copies of its volumes in print, including digital editions.
Masahiro Ikeno began drawing a manga adaptation in Monthly Shounen Ace in May 2018. Kadokawa published the fourth volume on June 26, with the fifth volume scheduled for release on November 25.
Yes Press licensed the light novel in English last November and released the first volume on September 22. The second volume is planned for a February 23, 2021 release.
