Burn the Witch' Reveals Supporting Cast, Worldwide Premiere [Update 8/30]


The official website of the movie adaptation of Tite Kubo's action fantasy one-shot Burn the Witch unveiled supporting cast, a key visual (pictured), and the first promotional video on Monday.

The movie is scheduled to run in Japanese theaters for two weeks beginning October 2 and will also stream on Amazon's Prime Video platform and Hikari TV. Crunchyroll will stream the anime outside of Asia the same day.

Balgo Parks: Shimba Tsuchiya (Ballroom e Youkoso)
Chief: Hiroaki Hirata (God Eater)
Ossi-chan: Rie Hikisaka (Hug tto! Precure)

Tatsurou Kawano (Koutetsujou no Kabaneri action animation director) is helming the movie at Studio Colorido, and Chika Suzumura (Kurage no Shokudou) is penning the script. Natsuki Yamada (Susume, Karolina.) is designing the characters.

Kubo published the one-shot in Weekly Shounen Jump in July 2018, which began regular serialization on Monday. Shueisha is scheduled to publish the first volume on October 2.

VIZ Media published the one-shot in English simultaneously with the Japanese release on their digital Shounen Jump magazine. The publisher will begin simulpublishing the manga on its Shounen Jump platform on Sunday.

The official website of Burn the Witch updated with four additional cast on Monday who will play members of the Top of Horns.
