BanG Dream!'s 'Argonavis' Boy Band Project Gets TV Anime



Game developer Bushiroad announced a television anime of its Argonavis boy band project on Tuesday. The announcement was made at the Argonavis Project Presentation event in Akihabara. The television anime is scheduled to premiere in Spring 2020.

Hiroshi Nishikiori (Toaru Majutsu no Index, Schoolgirl Strikers: Animation Channel) is set to direct the series at Sanzigen. Playwright and screenwriter Nobuhiro Mouri (Uchuu Sentai Kyuuranger) is handling both the series composition and script. Manga artist Hikaru Miyoshi (Kanshikan Tsunemori Akane) is credited as the original character designer.

The company also announced a smartphone game for the boy band, titled Argonavis from BanG Dream! AAside, which will serve as a sequel to the television anime. Mouri and Miyoshi are once again credited as the game's scriptwriter and original character designer, respectively. DeNA is developing the game, to be released in the latter half of 2020.
