The official website of Kadokawa's Comic Gene magazine has announced that Honda's Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san web manga will get an anime adaptation. The third compiled volume includes a wraparound jacket that features the announcement (pictured), and will be released on September 27.
The manga, which revolves around a bookstore worker who happens to be a skeleton, began its digital publication in August 2015 via Gene pixiv. The first compiled volume was released under Kadokawa's Media Factory label in March 2016. The series placed 12th in the 2017 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga is Amazing!) rankings among female readers.
