The wraparound jacket on the fifth guide book and Blu-ray volume of Kemono Friends (pictured), which will go on sale on July 26, has announced a second season of the anime series.
Kemono Friends, based on the "zoo role-playing game" application developed by Nexon, aired on television beginning in January this year. Following the conclusion of the 12-episode series in March, a new video production was announced along with the release of a new character design. In May, producers revealed that a cumulative 200,000 copies of the first three guide book and Blu-ray volumes had been printed.
While the original Kemono Friends mobile game ended its service in December 2016, Bushiroad has announced it would launch a new mobile game this summer. A stage play production featuring an original story was held last month and will return for encore performances in January 2018.
The sixth and final guide book and Blu-ray volume of Kemono Friends is scheduled to go on sale on August 26.
