TV Anime 'Granblue Fantasy The Animation' Delayed to Spring 2017

The official website for A-1 Pictures' upcoming Winter 2017 anime adaptation of Granblue Fantasy has announced that the premiere of the TV anime will be delayed. The series will instead begin its broadcast in Spring 2017. The announcement did not cite any reasons to why the series has been delayed, but mentioned that a special episode of the series will premiere in place of the TV anime.

Granblue Fantasy The Animation adapts the smartphone game Granblue Fantasy, which is developed by Cygames and published by Mobage. The game was released in Japan for the iOS and Android platforms in March 2014, with an international release of the game in March of this year. The series received a light novel adaptation in 2014, which currently has four volumes.
