Seiyuu Hiromi Tsuru Dies [Update 11/17]


News reports have announced that seiyuu Hiromi Tsuru has been found dead in a car at a highway on Thursday night. The police is currently investigating the cause of her death, as she was reported to be found unconscious with her seat belt and hazard light on. She died at the age of 57.

As a seiyuu, actress, and narrator, Tsuru began her entertainment career when she entered Himawari Theatre Group in second grade alongside her sister. She has voiced characters such as Dokin-chan from the Sore Ike! Anpanman series, Bulma from the Dragon Ball series, Meryl Stryfe from Trigun, Kiddy Phenil from the Silent Möbius series, Ukyo Kuonji from the Ranma ½ series, Azusa Higa from Warau Hyouteki, Sister Angela from One Pound Gospel, and more.

Update November 17
Aoni Production has announced that the reason for Tsuru's death is aortic dissection while driving. The funeral will be done among her family.
