The official website of Kaijuu Girls: Ultra Kaijuu Gijinka Keikaku has revealed that the short anime series will receive a second season. The new season will both air on TV and stream via dAnime Store in January 2018.
The main cast and staff members will reprise their roles from the first season, with the addition of new characters. Guts Seijin (Alien Guts) from the Ultra Seven TV series will join the series as the first new character.
Furthermore, the first season will broadcast on Tokyo MX starting October 3. The anime shorts streamed online between September and December in 2016. Crunchyroll simulcast the series worldwide except Asia.
Produced by Studio PuYUKAI, the anime is a part of Tsuburaya Productions' "Ultra Kaiju Gijinka Keikaku" project, which remodels monsters and aliens that have appeared in the Ultra Series into cute anthropomorphized monsters.
