Premiere of 'Poputepipikku' TV Anime Delayed to Winter 2018

The official website for the previously announced anime adaptation of bkub Ookawa's Poputepipikku (Pop Team Epic) manga has announced on Friday that the series' premiere will be postponed by three months from October 2017 to January 2018. The website further cites that the reason for the delay is due to a "misunderstanding of King Records."

Poputepipikku has been serialized on web manga website Manga Life Win since August 2014 and ended in November 2015 as the first part. The second part started in February 2016 and ended on April 30. A third part is scheduled to begin on October 10. The first physical compiled volume was released in December 2015, followed by the second on June 7. The 4-koma gag manga centers on two 14-year-old girls Popuko and Pipimi and uses lots of news topics in surreal way.
