Manga 'Souten no Ken: Re:Genesis' TV Anime in Production


The official website for the newly serialized Souten no Ken: Re:Genesis manga has announced that the series will get a TV anime adaptation as a part of 35th anniversary project of Hokuto no Ken manga serialization. Supervised by the original mangaka Tetsuo Hara, the anime is slated for Spring 2018 via Tokyo MX.

Synopsis
Among the 1800 years of Hokuto history, it is said the most wild, fierce and the strongest is "2nd successor to Hokuto Shinken Kenshiro Kasumi."
This is a man's story to live, fight, and die in blue sky.

Souten no Ken: Re:Genesis, another part of 35th anniversary project of Hokuto no Ken manga, started its serialization on Wednesday on Comic Zenon magazine with original work by Hara, supervision by Buronson, script by Hiroyuki Yatsu and drawn by Hideki Tsuji. The first part of the manga Souten no Ken (Fist of the Blue Sky), was serialized from May 2001 to Aug 2010 via Comic Bunch magazine by Tetsuo Hara and Buronson, and collected into 22 compiled volumes. A 22-episode TV anime adaptation aired in Fall 2006 with four unaired episodes.
