The official Asagao-to Kase-san. anime website has announced that the series will get a new anime project in 2018. More information such as the format of the work will be announced at a later time.
Asagao to Kase-san is the first installment of Hiromi Takashima's Kase-san Series, which began its serialization in yuri manga anthology Hirari in 2010, before moving to Web Magazine Wings due to the former ceasing publication in 2014. The series currently has four compiled volumes in print, with the latest volume Apron to Kase-san. published on July 25, which bundles the Kimi no Hikari: Asagao to Kase-san. anime adaptation. The OVA will also be screened at the Yamagata International Film Festival on October 7.
