News reports in Japan reported that animator Norio Shioyama died with his wife from the fire burning his house on Thursday early morning. He was 77 years old and his wife was 85 years old.
Shioyama debut in drawing illustrations to Harris no Kaze, he became a popular animator and was in charge of character design to various anime at Tatsunoko Production and Sunrise, namely Soukou Kihei Votoms series, and more.
