A stage event at AnimeJapan 2016 has announced that the 2013 school comedy anime Yuyushiki will receive a new special episode. The series is an adaptation of the 4-koma manga drawn by Komata Mikami, which has been publishing since 2008 in Manga Time Kirara and has seven compiled volumes in print. A Blu-ray box of the anime was released on November 26.
