A stage event at AnimeJapan 2016 has announced that the role-playing game Fate/Extra, created by Type-Moon and published by Marvelous Entertainment, will be adapted into a TV anime. The series will be titled Fate/Extra Last Encore and will air in 2017.
Fate/Extra was originally released for the PlayStation Portable in 2010. A companion "Heaven's Feel" route for the game was released as Fate/Extra CCC in 2011.
