
The official website of Kagerou Project has announced that there will be a short anime movie to be released in the winter months of 2016. The movie will be a collaboration between ultracreep Inc. and Aniplex as the first MX4D™ (Motion Effects 4D) short movie production in Japan, where viewers can feel the motions and sense jolts while watching. It will be titled MX4D Kagerou Days -in a days- and will be directed by the illustrator and character designer of the manga, Sidu. The movie will be produced by 1ST PLACE/JUMONJI.
Kagerou Project is a mixed-media project based on a series of songs created by Jin. An anime adaptation for the project, Mekakucity Actors, aired in Spring 2014 with 12 episodes. A manga adaptation, Kagerou Daze, began publishing in June 2012.
Synopsis
Shintarou Kisaragi—a NEET who shut himself inside his room for two years—had been living his life normally until he met a cyber girl named Ene, who appeared in his computer screen when someone anonymously sent him a mysterious e-mail one year ago.
