Seiyuu Miyu Irino Goes on Hiatus


It was announced via Miyu Irino's Kiramune blog on November 30, 2016 that he will go on hiatus after his solo live on January 2017. After that he will go study abroad.

He mentioned that he has been interested in the foreign life and learning the entertainment field there. As he experienced more, he realized he has things he lacked and yearned, so he wants to go study abroad for self-improvement. His talk with his agency was not easy because it took them very long time to decide the detail. He hasn't announced when after the solo live or where he will go, but he promised that he will go and come back quickly.

Irino is a child actor who entered the entertainment field at the age of 4 by joining Himawari Theatre Group. His first voice role was PaRappa in Parappa the Rapper, and became popular from voicing Haku from Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (Spirited Away). His popular roles are both Syaorans in the anime adaptations of Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, Konoha Inoue in the anime adaptations of "Bungaku Shoujo" Series, Akito Hyuuga in Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito Series, Jinta Yadomi in Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai. TV series and movie, Todomatsu Matsuno in Osomatsu-san, and more. His recent roles are Koushi Sugawara in the third season of the anime adaptation of Haikyuu!!, Shouya Ishida in Koe no Katachi, and Episode in Kizumonogatari movie trilogy. His second full album DARE TO DREAM has just released via Kiramune label on November 30, 2016. He also forms a duo as KAmiYU with Hiroshi Kamiya. He is also active as a musical actor since 2013 as a part of his motto of improving himself every day.
