New 'Warau Salesman' TV Anime Announced for Spring 2017


It was announced that manga Warau Salesman will get a new TV anime adaptation. Titled Warau Salesman New, the anime will air on Tokyo MX under its Anime no Me time slot, followed by Yomiuri TV, BS11, and Animax in Spring 2017. Tessyo Genda (Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho) will voice the traveling salesman, Fukuzou Moguro, by the request of his original cast Tooru Oohira before his death. Hirofumi Ogura (Gintama episode director) will be directing the anime.

Warau Salesman is drawn by Fujio (A) Fujiko and was initially released as a one-shot under the title of Kuroi Salesman on Big Comic magazine in 1968. The manga later serialized in Manga Sunday magazine between 1969 and 1971. Jitsugyou no Nihon Sha published six compiled volumes. It was previously adapted into a TV anime which aired between October 1989 and September 1992. The series is described as a black humor version of Doraemon.
