Makoto Shinkai's 'Kimi no Na wa.' Movie Adds Supporting Cast


The official website of director Makoto Shinkai's original anime movie Kimi no Na wa. announced supporting cast members on Tuesday.

Actress Masami Nagasawa will voice the role of Miki Okudera, an upperclassman whom the male protagonist Taki Tachibana admires. Actress Etsuko Ichihara will voice the role of Hitoha Miyamizu, the grandmother of the female protagonist Mitsuha Miyamizu who acts as her and her little sister Yotsuha's guardian. The remaining characters as the protagonists' classmates.

A preview screening of Kimi no Na wa. will be held on July 7, 2016, at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills, and the movie will open in theaters nationwide in Japan on August 26. According to distributor Toho Company, Kimi no Na wa. will have an estimated running time of 1 hour and 40 minutes.
