Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel' Gets New TV Anime Series


The 10th anniversary special program held on Nico Nico Live yesterday has revealed that the Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel franchise will be getting a new TV anime series. More details will be announced on the franchise's 10th anniversary event on October 2, 2016. Along with the anime announcement, a mobile application game has been confirmed for 2017 release.

Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel is a mixed-media project that started in 2006 as a pachinko slot machine series. It was then spun off into two manga series, with the first one being drawn by Monaco Sena and serialized in Comp Ace magazine in 2007, while the second one was serialized in 2011 and drawn by Koari. The franchise received two OVAs by Nomad in 2008, as well as a 12-episode TV series in 2011 by J.C.Staff. The series received a visual novel adaptation in 2009 and an action-adventure game for the PlayStation Portable console in 2011. At the end of 2014, two OVAs were pre-sold during Comiket 87.
