The official website of the TV anime adaptation of comedy manga Teekyuu has revamped and announced that the series will receive an eighth season. It will broadcast this October on Tokyo MX and Sun TV. It was also revealed that the main cast members from the previous season will reprise their roles. Shin Itagaki will return to direct, write, and design the characters for the new season under Millepensee.
The first season of Teekyuu aired during the Fall 2012 season. It was succeeded with two more seasons that were animated by MAPPA. From season three onwards, Millepensee became the studio in charge, including the anime's spin-offs such as Takamiya Nasuno desu! and Usakame which recently aired during Spring 2016.
