Anime Series and CG Movie of 'Final Fantasy XV' Announced



Square Enix announced at the Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event in Los Angeles on Wednesday that its upcoming role-playing game Final Fantasy XV has two upcoming animation projects titled Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV and Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. The game is scheduled to go on sale for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 30, 2016.


Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV

Brotherhood is produced by animation studio A-1 Pictures and serves as a prequel, introducing the background of the game's main characters. Five ten-minute episodes will be released on the official Final Fantasy XV YouTube channel with English subtitle and Square Enix YouTube channel without subtitle prior to the game's release.

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV

Kingsglaive is a full CG movie scheduled for online distribution later in 2016. It introduces additional characters from the game such as King Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII and Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, Noctis's father and betrothed respectively. The movie is set during the events of Final Fantasy XV. The movie will be bundled in both deluxe edition and ultimate collector's edition of the game.
