Animation studio Sunrise, in a joint panel with Bandai Namco Pictures at Anime Expo 2015, provided more information about its next project in the Mobile Suit Gundam series. Akane Hagino, a manager in the international sales department of Sunrise, specified that the project will be revealed on July 15 at noon Japan time.

A teaser site (http://www.g-tekketsu.com/) opened on July 3 with a silhouette of the key visual and a countdown clock for the announcement. The press conference will be streamed on the site with simultaneous English interpretation. Footage with highlights of the announcement will later be made available with subtitles in six languages.
The term tekketsu (鉄血) translates to "blood and iron," referring to military might. In world history, Japanese forces in Okinawa during World War II raised a volunteer Blood and Iron Corps composed of male students aged 14-17. One-half of the members in the unit died during the three-month Battle of Okinawa in 1945.
