Silver Link to Animate 'Ange Vierge,' Slated for 2016



During the Sega Network Fan Appreciation 2015 event, it was announced that the previously announced anime adaptation of card game Ange Vierge will be produced by Silver Link and that it is slated for 2016. The event also revealed a key visual (pictured above) featuring a new character alongside Miumi Hinata.

Synopsis
The story of the card game follows what happens when "Hairou" portals suddenly open, fusing three different worlds together. As a result, various mysterious "Exceed" powers are awakened in teenaged girls. An academy for these so-called "Progress" girls is built on the isolated Seiran Island in the Pacific. (Source: ANN)

Published by Media Factory and Fujimi Shobo, the card game was originally revealed in 2013 with an anime adaptation announced in 2014. The game has also received a smartphone game and a two-volume manga adaptation by Sakaki Yoshioka and Mako Komao, titled Ange Vierge: Linkage, which was serialized in Dragon Age magazine between April 9, 2014 and February 9, 2015.

The lead cast members of the original game include Kana Hanazawa, Saori Hayami, Mai Ishihara, and Yuuka Aisaka. Seiyuu unit L.I.N.K.s, which consists of cast members Mai Ishihara, Yuuka Aisaka, Nozomi Yamamoto, Rie Takahashi, and Yoshiko Ikuta, will perform the theme song.

Known character designers are also featured in the game, such as Kantoku (Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko.), Kira Inugami (Seitokai no Ichizon), and abec (Sword Art Online).
