Seiyuu Miyuki Sawashiro Switches Talent Agency to Aoni Production

The seiyuu talent agency Aoni Production has announced that Miyuki Sawashiro has joined its roster effective August 1. She had been affiliated with Mausu Promotion since debuting in 1999 as Petit Charat in Di Gi Charat. Sawashiro never attended voice actor training school, entering the industry after winning the Special Jury Prize in an audition for Di Gi Charat. At the time, she was still in the second year of middle school.

Sawashiro went on to become one of the most prolific seiyuu in the industry today. Her roles include Mine Fujiko in recent installments of the Lupin III series, Ayane Yano in Kimi ni Todoke, Kurapika in the 2011 remake of Hunter × Hunter, and Celty Sturluson in Durarara!!. She has won the Seiyuu Awards for Best Supporting Actress (2009 and 2015), Best Actress (2010), and the Overseas Fan Award (2011). Last year, she announced her marriage to a man from outside the industry.

Aoni Production, which was founded in 1969 and has a long history of working with Toei Animation, counts veteran seiyuu such as Toru Furuya (Mobile Suit Gundam), Masako Nozawa (Dragon Ball), and Mayumi Tanaka (One Piece) among its roster.
