It has been revealed that the Monogatari novel series will be continued after the Final Season. The final volume of the Final Season, Zoku Owarimonogatari, features a teaser for Monogatari Series: Next Season. The first story of the next season will be titled Tsugimonogatari.
The novel series by Isin Nisio began publishing in 2006. In 2012, it was announced that the entire Monogatari novel series will be animated by Shaft.
