
Mangaka Kouji Miyata has died on October 22 at the age of 34. According to a Facebook post by his father, Miyata died of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.
In 2006, Miyata received an honorable mention in the 8th Enterbrain Entame Awards for his entry titled Jabara. He debuted as a mangaka later that year in the magazine Comic Beam Fellows! with the one-shot Neko de Tandem. Both titles were later added in the author's short stories collection, Utatane Hime.
He began his first serialization in 2008 with Kikimimi Zukan, which was published in Comic Beam. Miyata's most recent work, Yome ga Kore na mon de. (pictured right), ended serialization in July.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday at Dainichido Funeral Hall in Nishitokyo.
