It was announced via the official site for the upcoming live-action movie adaptation of Orange that the manga will end in the October issue of Monthly Action magazine, to be released on August 25.
Orange is both written and illustrated by Ichigo Takano. It was first serialized in shoujo magazine Bessatsu Margaret in March 2012 before it went on hiatus. After nearly a year of hiatus, the manga resumed in Monthly Action magazine in 2013.
The series has sold a total of 1.6 million copies since it was serialized, with the fourth volume ranking 25 on Oricon's weekly manga rankings chart. Orange also ranked 15th among male readers in Kono Manga ga Sugoi!'s 2015 Rankings.
Crunchyroll licensed the manga in January 2014 for digital release, while the North American publisher Seven Seas licensed it for print in April the following year.
