Manga 'High Score Girl' Resumes Publication


The official site of Square Enix announced that Rensuke Oshikiri's manga High Score Girl will resume publication after being on an indefinite hiatus since August 2014. The manga and its anime adaptation received copyright violation charges by game developer SNK Playmore for using characters from video game series, such as King of Fighters, Samurai Showdown, and other games without proper permission. According to the press release by Square Enix, these charges have been dropped in relation to the manga resuming its publication. There is currently no additional information about the anime adaptation.

High Score Girl is a manga written and illustrated by Rensuke Oshikiri. It has been serialized in Big Gangan magazine since 2010, and there are currently five volumes published. In 2013, it was announced that the manga would receive an anime adaptation.
