Light Novel 'Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta?' Gets TV Anime Adaptation [Update 8/21]


It was revealed by Kadokawa as part of the upcoming Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival event that a TV anime adaptation of light novel Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta? (And you thought there is never a girl online?) has been green-lit. The series is written by Shibai Kineko with illustrations done by Hisasi. More information regarding staff and cast will be revealed at a later date.

The novel was published on July 10, 2013 with 7 volumes, and the 8th volume will be shipped on August 8, 2015. It also has a manga adaptation under Dengeki G's comic magazine since August 30, 2014. The manga has one volume so far that was released on March 7, 2015 written by Shibai Kineko and illustrated by Kazui Ishigami.

Synopsis
Our naïve protagonist proposes to a female character in an online game, only to find out that the player is actually a guy. Traumatized by that, he decides to never trust a girl online, but now, two years later, a female player is proposing to him. What will happen? (Source: Unlimited Novel Failures, edited)
