Earth Star Entertainment announced at its Comiket (Comic Market) 88 booth today that the comedy manga Teekyuu will receive a sixth season of the anime adaptation. It will air in Fall 2015 on Tokyo MX and Sun TV. Earth Star Entertainment is the publisher of Comic Earth☆Star, the magazine in which Teekyuu is serialized.
Studio Millepensee took over responsibility for the show's animation production from MAPPA earlier this year. The fifth season began airing in July. The current production staff will continue their work, and the cast will reprise their roles.
The new theme song will be performed by Earth Star Dream, a seiyuu unit whose members were selected through Earth Star Entertainment's National Seiyuu Grand Prix auditions in 2014. The theme song will be released as a CD single in November 2015.
