Weekly Shounen Ace magazine announced via their September issue on Saturday that the creators of Deadman Wonderland, Kazuma Kondou and Jinsei Kataoka, will start their new manga series in its October issue, to be released on August 26. The new manga will be titled Smokin' Parade.

Kazuma Kondou and Jinsei Kataoka debuted with their manga Deadman Wonderland in 2006. The manga series was serialized in Shounen Ace magazine and ended in 2013. It received a 12-episode anime adaptation in Spring 2011 by Manglobe. The authors also wrote the manga version of Eureka Seven, based on the "Project Eureka" media mix project.
Viz Media licensed the Deadman Wonderland manga for North American release in 2013.
